Boggy Brook Substation Addition
Our Scope
We prepared the site and completed foundation work for a 115kV substation yard and condenser building. We managed excavation, backfill, retaining wall installation, and concrete foundation work, delivering critical infrastructure to support the region’s expanded power capacity.
Challenges Overcome
The project involved two separate scopes, managed by different engineering firms — one for the building and one for the substation yard — requiring constant coordination. Limited room and access on site added complexity, demanding meticulous staging and precision at every turn.
Value Added
Ranger thrives in high-stakes, high-coordination environments. On this project, we served as the steady link between design teams, adjusting to shifting specifications and resolving conflicts in real-time. With concrete, excavation, and structural capabilities under one roof, we eliminated delays and brought clarity to a multi-headed effort. For clients like Versant, this means fewer surprises, fewer change orders, and a project that stays on track, regardless of the complexity of the build.
