A pump station is one of the most important pieces of infrastructure on the site.
This structure is designed to move wastewater from lower elevation areas to a place where it can continue through the system. Gravity can only take it so far. After that, it takes pumps, controls, and a structure built to handle constant flow and pressure.
What you’re looking at here is the early stage of that system. Formwork is being set, reinforced, and braced to handle the concrete pour that creates the structure. Every wall, every elevation, every penetration has to be exact. Once this is poured, there’s no adjusting it later.
