Our Word Is Our Bond

Ranger is an employee-owned heavy civil construction firm leading the field across Maine. We blaze new trails, push boundaries, and solve problems — together.

Every project is personal. We’re all-in because this work powers our communities and fuels a company we each have a stake in. When you call, we answer. When there’s a challenge, we figure it out.

Our team always pushes ahead, always strives for more, always builds our best for the communities we serve. That’s the Ranger way.

“Ranger has done an outstanding job. They compromised with the town on change orders and offered ways to adjust the work with no impact to project cost, they completed the work within schedule. I would not hesitate to hire them again.”

Public Works Director, Town of Bar Harbor

“Ranger has never let me down on any of the projects I have worked with them on. They will complete the work, and I will be able to work with them throughout to improve on the project and leave the owners happy. ”

At Ranger, we meet challenges head-on. We push ourselves to be
better, expand our capabilities, train harder, and deliver more.

We’re an all-in-one contractor determined to own a lion’s share of
the scope.
Having digital plans and GPS in the field lets our team check grades, verify layout, and flag conflicts while the work is happening. That means fewer missed elevations, fewer surprises in the dirt, and less time undoing work that should’ve been right the first time.
The goal is simple: catch it early and keep the job moving
When you see a Ranger crew on a job, you’re looking at people who live just down the road. The work happens around the same schools, shops, and neighborhoods our own families are part of.
That’s why every project will always matter to us.
The same faces you see on site, are the same faces you see in the grocery store. We’re employee-owned. Which means every job is personal. The crews building it live here, raise families here, and stand behind what goes into the ground.
We work in real towns and real neighborhoods, and that’s why we don’t take protecting the environment lightly.

One way we do that is through a process called landfill capping, which seals off old waste so it can’t impact the woods, water, and wildlife around it.
It’s not just about finishing a site. It’s about protecting the places we all call home.
